Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the distinguished chair in psychology in the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who beginning the current science-based study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victimes as witness in court circumstances. Professor Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received numerous national and international prizes. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
