Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She's most famous for her role as Bo of the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk was produced in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter who was an academic as well as Peter Silk, who was known as an accomplished actor, director and producer. He also wrote plays, was an educator and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna can remember watching her mother working and going to play rehearsals. Silk was the subject of several commercials while she was still young. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in two stage productions prior to that, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999. She then moved from Toronto to Los Angeles California during the following decade. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at the workshop for actors at the time in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was engaged during 2009 and then married in a civil ceremony in December of that year. In April of 2011, they renew their vows during an Jewish ritual in Fredericton after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk got a baby with the name of Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on May 13 on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV appearances include the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. She was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third series. The actress announced her pregnancy to the fans in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk confirmed via Twitter on 20 June 2013 that the show had returned to production. Season Four premiered on June 4, 2013 with Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN named Bo's portrayal with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular television couples ever. E! Magazine also classified it as one of the top couples on TV in the year 2013.
